THE PULLED PORK
SLIDERS
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Yields: 1 serving
Ingredients:
Pulled Pork
3 lbs pork shoulder (pork butt)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup BBQ sauce (plus more for serving)
1 cup chicken broth
1 large onion, sliced
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp smoked paprika
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
Sliders
12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
2 cups coleslaw (store-bought or homemade)
Extra BBQ sauce for topping
Directions:
Preheat & Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Using a serrated knife, slice the entire sheet of rolls in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves intact.
Assemble Sliders: Place the bottom half of the rolls in a baking dish. In a medium bowl, combine the pulled pork and barbecue sauce. Spread the pork evenly over the bottom layer of the rolls.
Add Cheese & Toppings: Arrange the cheese slices over the pulled pork. If using, add coleslaw, pickles, or other toppings on top of the cheese. Place the top half of the rolls on top.
Make Butter Topping: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley.
Bake: Brush the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the rolls. Cover the baking dish tightly with foil. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the pork is heated through.
Brown the Tops: Remove the foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the tops of the rolls are lightly golden and toasted.
Serve: Let the sliders cool slightly, then cut them into individual servings along the perforations. Serve warm and enjoy!
Pulled Pork Sliders shine even brighter when paired with the right sides and drinks. For a hearty, balanced plate, serve them alongside crispy sweet potato fries, which bring just the right touch of sweetness to complement the smoky pork. Add a little crunch with pickles and chips, giving guests that classic salty-sour bite to cut through the richness of the sliders. And to wash it all down, keep it refreshing with a tall glass of fresh lemonade or iced tea—simple, crisp, and the perfect way to round out this comfort food favorite.
